The Eurasia Media & Distribution Consultation (EMDC) began in 2010 as a multi-agency consultation that would meet annually. It is intended to be a venue where minority language workers, Bible translators, literacy workers, language development workers, and “others” in the greater Eurasia region, can meet with media specialists (including radio, TV, internet, mobile), IT technicians, recording specialists, graphic artists, and specialists in Orality and EthnoArts (arts, drama, dance).

3 Things to Consider Before Embarking on an AI Journey
During this workshop, we will examine the benefits and obstacles of implementing AI in Bible translation, along with the ethical considerations and the critical importance of precision. We will also investigate how AI and human translators can collaborate to create solutions that accelerate Bible translation and improve access to minority languages. At the conclusion of the presentation, please share your thoughts and suggestions to help shape the future of Bible translation.

Kristin is dedicated to enabling communities globally to learn about Christ by providing access to the Bible in their native languages, with a particular focus on sign languages. She presently serves as an Account Executive at Avodah, Inc., after working for three years in sign language Bible translation. She has also devoted her time to serving in Ecuador, Zambia, and Uganda. Kristin holds a Bachelor's degree in sign language linguistics from the University of New Mexico and is currently pursuing an MBA.
