• Dr. Russell S. Rosen, Ph.D., is currently the Coordinator of the Program in American Sign Language and Program in Disability Studies at the City University of New York College of Staten Island.
  He holds a BA in Anthropology from U of Chicago and a Ph.D. in Education from Columbia University.

• Publications and research interests are in the anthropology and history of deaf people and their community and culture, applied linguistics of American Sign Language, including second language acquisition, instruction, curriculum and assessment, and disability studies.
